Temu Taxi
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 The User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) is an agreement between the User and the Administrator regarding the use of the Temu Taxi Service and supersedes all previous agreements between the User and the Administrator.
1.2 When using the Temu Taxi Service, the User, regardless of legal status or civil capacity, is subject to the rules and restrictions set out in this Agreement.
1.3 This Agreement, including any amendments or additions, shall be published on the Website and Mobile Application for public access.
1.4 The User confirms that he/she has fully read and agrees with the terms of this Agreement. If the User does not agree with any provision of this Agreement, the User is not allowed to use the Temu Taxi Service.
1.5 The User agrees to comply with this Agreement during registration on the Website or Mobile Application, or when placing an Order through the Website without registration.
1.6 The Administrator may amend or otherwise modify this Agreement without prior notice to the User. The User agrees that such amendments may be made without receiving any specific confirmation.
1.7 For the purposes of this Agreement, the following terms shall apply:
Administrator – means Maycom for Digital Technology, a registered company in the Arab Republic of Egypt, operating and managing the Temu Taxi platform.
User – means any capable individual who is 18 years of age or older at the time of registration or when placing an Order without registration, or a legal entity that has accepted the terms of this Agreement and uses the Temu Taxi Service.
Temu Taxi Service – means the ability for the User to use the technology platform through the Website or Mobile Application to place transportation Orders, review offers from Partners for fulfilling those Orders, and organize communication between the Administrator, Users, and Partners.
Partner – means a third party that provides passenger transportation services, driver services, or delivery services to Users and has a contractual relationship with the Administrator based on an information services agreement or public offer published on the Temu Taxi platform.
Order – means a request submitted by the User for passenger transportation services, driver services, or delivery services, including details such as:
- pickup location
- destination
- time of vehicle arrival
- vehicle type
- transportation cost
- additional requirements
Services – means passenger transportation services, driver services, or delivery services provided by Partners to Users through the Temu Taxi platform.
Website – means the official Temu Taxi website available on the Internet.
Mobile Application – means the Temu Taxi mobile application for devices running Android or iOS, provided by the Administrator to Users for functional use of the Temu Taxi Service.
Technology Platform – means an interconnected set of computer programs and electronic data designed to collect, process, store, and display information about Orders received from Users and to provide Partners access to such information.
2. USER REGISTRATION
2.1 To use the Temu Taxi Service, the User must register through the Website or Mobile Application, which creates a unique account for the User.
2.2 The User must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
2.3 If the User provides false information during registration or while using the Temu Taxi Service, the Administrator has the right to suspend or terminate the User’s account without prior notice.
2.4 If the User’s actions violate applicable laws, human rights, or create potential legal liability for the Administrator, the Administrator may immediately block the User or delete the User’s account.
2.5 The Administrator may delete the User’s account if it has not been used for 12 consecutive calendar months.
2.6 During registration, the User must create a unique password and is responsible for keeping it secure.
2.7 If a third party gains access to the User’s account, the User must immediately notify the Administrator.
2.8 The User is responsible for safeguarding their password and confidential information. The Administrator is not responsible for any consequences resulting from disclosure of such information.
3. USE OF THE SERVICE WITHOUT REGISTRATION
3.1 The User may use the Temu Taxi Service without registration only when placing an Order via the Website. In this case, the User must provide their name and phone number.
3.2 Regardless of registration status, the User agrees to comply with this Agreement while using the Service.
3.3 If the User’s actions violate applicable law or threaten the rights of others, the Administrator may immediately block the User from using the Service.
4. PERSONAL DATA
4.1 All matters related to the collection, use, processing, and protection of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy published on the Website and Mobile Application.
5. TEMU TAXI SERVICE
5.1 The Temu Taxi Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use, enabling Users to request and schedule transportation services.
5.2 The Administrator provides Partners with access to Order information. Partners deliver the Services after accepting the Order. The Administrator is not responsible for the Services provided by Partners.
5.3 Services are provided by Partners under separate agreements between Users and Partners. The Administrator is not a party to these agreements.
5.4 The Administrator is not responsible for the quality, availability, timing, or terms of the Services provided by Partners.
5.5 When ordering delivery services, the User must not request transportation of items prohibited by applicable law.
5.6 The Website and Mobile Application are not intended for posting sensitive or restricted information.
5.7 The Administrator reserves the right to suspend access to the Temu Taxi Service at any time without prior notice.
5.8 The Administrator may provide insurance for Users during transportation services. Such insurance may be arranged at the Administrator’s discretion.
6. LIMITS FOR SERVICE USE
Users agree not to:
- post unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content
- violate intellectual property rights
- distribute spam or malicious software
- publish pornographic or illegal content
- impersonate another person or company
- violate applicable laws
The Administrator may remove any content at its discretion.
7. PAYMENTS AND PROMO CODES
7.1 Payment for Services is made according to tariffs displayed in the Mobile Application or Website.
7.2 During periods of high demand (holidays, traffic congestion, weather conditions), tariffs may increase.
7.3 Payments may be made directly to the Partner in cash.
7.4 Users may also pay via bank card through the Website or Mobile Application. Temu Taxi does not store bank card details.
7.5 Payments may also be made through Google Pay or Apple Pay if supported.
7.6 The Administrator may provide promo codes during promotional campaigns.
Promo codes:
- cannot be sold or transferred
- may be cancelled at any time
- cannot be exchanged for money
- may only be used once per trip
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property related to Temu Taxi, including:
- the technology platform
- website
- mobile application
- software
- design
- graphics
- text
belongs to the Administrator.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Administrator is not liable for:
- actions of Partners
- service interruptions
- payment system failures
- indirect or consequential damages
The Service is provided “as is” without guarantees.
10. FINAL PROVISIONS
10.1 This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
10.2 Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the laws and courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
10.3 This Agreement does not create employment, partnership, or agency relationships between the User and the Administrator.
10.4 If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
