Temu Taxi
1. Terms and Definitions
In this Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”), unless the context requires otherwise, the following terms shall have the meanings set out below:
Service or Temu Taxi
An electronic platform that enables communication and information exchange between passengers and providers of passenger transportation services through the website or mobile applications.
Administrator
Maycom Digital Technology, a registered company in the Arab Republic of Egypt, operating and managing the Temu Taxi platform and providing digital technology and transportation solutions.
Portal
The official website of the Service:

Mobile App
The mobile application “Temu Taxi” available for Android and iOS devices.
User
Any legally capable individual who is at least 18 years old at the time of registration and who has accepted the User Agreement and uses the services of the Portal or Mobile Application.
Partner
A legal entity or individual (such as drivers or transportation providers) who provides passenger transportation services through the Temu Taxi platform under an agreement with the Administrator.
Services
Passenger transportation services provided by automobile transport, ordered by Users through the Portal or Mobile Application and carried out by Partners.
Personal Data
Any information or set of data relating to an individual who can be identified directly or indirectly.
Bank Card
A bank card issued by international payment systems such as Visa or MasterCard.
International Payment Systems
Global payment systems such as Visa and MasterCard used to process electronic payments through authorized financial service providers.
2. General Provisions
2.1 Payment for Services is carried out according to the fare rates displayed in the Temu Taxi application and on the official website.
2.2 During periods of high demand for Services (including holidays, major events, heavy traffic conditions, or adverse weather), fare rates may increase temporarily.
In such cases, Users may receive a notification indicating that fares have increased due to high demand. This may help ensure quicker driver availability.
Users may accept the adjusted fare or wait for the standard fare, which may result in longer waiting times.
2.3 If the trip route changes or additional waiting time occurs, the trip cost may be recalculated according to the applicable fares.
If payment is made via Bank Card, the User agrees that the recalculated difference may be automatically charged to the registered payment method.
2.4 Users are obligated to pay for the Services provided in accordance with the applicable laws.
Cash payments may be made directly to the Partner (driver) who provided the Service.
2.5 If technically available, Users may pay for Services using Bank Cards through the application.
The Administrator may act as an authorized representative (agent) of the Partner to facilitate payment processing and transfer funds to the Partners through licensed financial service providers.
2.6 Bank card transactions are processed by financial institutions. The Administrator is responsible only for providing accurate service cost information to the payment processor.
3. Requirements for Payment via Bank Cards
To enable payment via Bank Card, the User must:

Install the Temu Taxi Mobile Application on their mobile device or access the Service through the website.

Register using a valid mobile phone number.

Add a Bank Card in the Payment Methods section of the User Profile.
When adding a Bank Card, the User may be redirected to a secure third-party payment gateway to enter the card details, including:

Card number

Expiration date

Cardholder name
-
Security code (CVV)
Temu Taxi does not store users’ bank card information. All card details are processed securely through certified payment service providers.
To verify card validity, a small temporary authorization amount may be placed and automatically released after verification.
4. Payment Procedure
4.1 Payment via Bank Card is available only when technically supported by the platform and when the User complies with the requirements described in this Policy.
4.2 If payment via Bank Card cannot be completed for any reason, the User may be required to complete payment using cash or another available payment method.
5. Warranties and Liability
5.1 The Administrator is not responsible for technical failures, security issues, or interruptions related to banks, payment providers, or international payment systems involved in processing transactions.
5.2 Users must ensure that their mobile devices containing the Temu Taxi application are kept secure and not shared with unauthorized persons.
5.3 If a User suspects unauthorized use of their Bank Card, they must immediately notify their bank and take appropriate steps to block the card.
6. Confidentiality and Personal Data Protection
By accepting this Policy, the User confirms that they have read and agreed to the Privacy Policy available on the Temu Taxi website and mobile application.
7. Final Provisions
7.1 The Administrator may engage subcontractors or service providers in certain regions to assist in providing technical support and operational services for the platform.
7.2 This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

7.4 The Administrator reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time without prior notice.
7.5 The updated version of the Policy will be published on the website and mobile application. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
7.6 If any provision of this Policy is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
